Chansons de Bilitis was written by Claude-Achille Debussy (1865-1918) and was based on 'Les Chansons de Bilitis' - a text written by French poet Pierre Louys.

Mirabella makes extensive use of these "Melodies de Bilitis" as they appear in many places throughout the album.
